My purse is NOT from Target.
Those of you following the vagaries of my big purse which I probably spent a little too much money on:
Today in the elevator at the taub this tech steps on and looks over at me and says,
"I just love your purse. So big and pretty, perfect for stuffing popcorn and candy into it and sneaking it into a movie theater.'
Hmmm.
Good to know my purse inspires ghetto thoughts. Must look expensive.
:)

the brown purse? or the black one? the black one is all brand-y so i'm sure there are copies of it at target, but the brown one really surprised me because it actually looks like it costed more than the average-frieda-purse. i remember once we were shopping at somewhere on that shopping strip with randalls and famous footwear for a purse for mama, and we found this glamorous clutch that was beautiful and 70 dollars. i coerced you into buying it, mostly because i had fantasies of being old and grisly like you and borrowing it from you. then, the same day, i asked you where it was and you said you returned it. and with those words you whisked away my dreams of dark green velvet and golden clasps *sniff* now i have to see oprah for therapy
thanks a lot frieda
yes, which purse? am dying to know. do you ever use the TP? and tho i'm sad to see anyone, especially someone as full of life as Doha, turn to Oprah for help, i'm glad you returned that $70 purse. that's nuts. though i'm sure it was beautiful.
hasta luego.
I have to laugh at this because I have witnessed the targetification of your bag....I guess Gigi was right...hehehhehehe

p.s. Hey "anonymous", does TP stand for Target Purse or Toilet Paper?...I would like to hope that Frieda uses both
TP = tucker paisley = ain't no target purse.
so which purse is it anyway?
banana, you called! i'ma call you back this week, insha'Allah. how was the caramel apple upside cake anyway? just think, frieda has one less thing to look forward to now . . .
ohhhh!.....Tucker paisley!....well, I can vouch for the fact that she does use that...as well as toilet paper (i think) and the "target" purse
all of you are crazy. Of COURSE I use the TP purse and it always looks classy....it was the brown target purse that got that...don't worry I like Charmin's tooo
:)
Frieda
wait - so your purse really IS from Target? Good about Charmin. But isn't it weird that their commercial involves cartoon bears rubbing their behinds on trees.
Anyway, Frieda, if you've got "comments" you know the rules - put 'em in a blog. a long blog at that.
stupid rules
NO IT IS NOT FROM TARGET.
i just call it the target purse now.

it's interesting that your comments' section became significantly more entertaining than the actual blog entry. i love it!
i see no new blog.

On behalf of you frieda, i am posting the latest happenings in your life:
Title: The day the music died
So last wednesday my sister doha came over. Have i told yall how awesome she is? so she came over around 2, in the pouring rain, and i was post-call btw. So i slept and she watched tv. And then i got a phone call from gigi and gigi said: hi, i was checking the chron.com and rascall flatts canceled becuase he had bronchitis. And with those words she took away the one hope i had for normal life - i mean - fun in the past two months. After relaying the news to a dissapointed doha, we decided to have a home night with blueberry pie. or not. Around seven we abandoned the pie and went with renee to the rodeo. It was pretty cool, btw. But john ingram has no talent. And Joe Nichols sang for a long time. We left before Clay Walker came on. btw, we didn't eat any rodeo food! Then doha, in her essay about spring break, wrote about the incident. She got a 100 just for using an adjective.
Well
thats all
back to the banana plantation

Frieda, in the interest of spurring on a new blog entry, here are some topics about which you might consider sharing your bloughts (= blog-thoughts) with us avid anonymous readers:
(1) do you ever think about why people decide to have children? do you want to have children? what are some of your motivations/desires linked to your progeny-plans?
(2) what, if anything, do you think we should do about the war in iraq?
(3) did you read Wives and Daughters? thoughts?
(4) Does your face absorb make up like mine does? If yes, solutions? If not, should I be alarmed? On a similar vein, what do you know about facials?
(5) do you experience subtle (or blatant) forms of racism/discrimination in your work place? do you think the overwhelming number of "diverse people" (as they call them-us at my firm) in the medical profession has sort of eradicated that kind of nonsense?
(6) familiar with a country song that involves something about making memories? (you needn't devote a whole blog entry to this last - just a one line response within a greater discussion about other things will do.
I realize some of this reads like a college application prompt. However, I won't place any word count limitations on you. I only ask that you provide a thoughtful and substantive discourse re each of the subjects above (excluding no. 6) and anything else on your mind.
yer pal,
nony
